The same curiosity and technical instinct that makes young people vulnerable to recruitment by criminal networks can — with the right intervention, at the right time — become one of our greatest assets in fighting them. This session brings the next generation into the room — young people who are turning their hacking instincts toward protecting people, rather than exploiting them.
The Hacking Games works to identify young cyber talent and guide it towards ethical, constructive pathways. Oliver Roskill, co-founder, and Ricky Handschumacker, Hacking Games alum, will share their stories, highlighting the importance of understanding motivations and providing positive alternatives to creating routes for young people to use their skills constructively.
