The financial system is both a primary target and one of the most powerful potential weapons in the fight against scams. But banks, crypto exchanges, and payment platforms have largely been fighting separate battles. This session convenes leaders from across the financial ecosystem to examine the shared challenge of disrupting illicit fund flows at every stage: stopping it before it begins, tracing it after it moves, and building the cross-sector coordination that scammers are counting on us not to have. The first convening of the GASA Finance Working Group, this session launches a new effort to collaborate globally across a fragmented financial landscape — and to generate a shared agenda for closing the gaps scammers exploit most.
