Ashish Kumar is the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), the global counter illicit finance standard setter.

Ashish brings extensive experience across a wide range of FATF workstreams, including policy development, standard-setting, and mutual evaluations. He has led key initiatives on private sector information sharing, beneficial ownership transparency, payment transparency, and the risk-based approach across several sectors. Before joining the FATF Secretariat, Ashish was a federal financial supervisor in India, leading market surveillance and investigations into securities fraud and insider trading, while playing a key role in the development and implementation of the national AML/CFT framework.
