Scott Rembrandt is the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) for the office of Risks, Standards, and Regulatory Policy and acting DAS for the office of Technology and Innovation in the U.S. Treasury’s Department’s AML/CFT policy coordination and development office. PDAS Rembrandt manages offices that develop and implement domestic and international anti-money laundering/counter-financing of terrorism/countering the financing of proliferation (AML/CFT/CPF) strategic initiatives, to include spearheading counter-fraud policy initiatives. Since 2018, PDAS Rembrandt has served as the U.S. Head of Delegation to the Financial Action Task Force. PDAS Rembrandt oversees TFFC’s work related to AML/CFT regulatory reform, national risk assessments, innovation, transnational organized crime, human trafficking, terrorist financing, and proliferation finance. Prior to joining the Treasury Department, he served as a corporate lawyer in New York and before that was the Director of Research at a Washington-based think tank focused on East Asia. Scott was also a consultant in China and the Business Manager, Chief Country Officer Group – Asia for a global bank.
