Criminal scam syndicates run industrial-scale compounds across borders, exploit every link in the digital and financial chain, and relocate faster than any one government or company can respond. Over the past year, joint operations between law enforcement, governments and industry have shown what it takes to turn online signals into real-world arrests and asset seizures. Lessons from these disruptions are key for policymakers to take note.
This session closes that gap. Government, law enforcement, and industry will draw on recent policy and disruption work to ask what made cross-sector, cross-border action possible, what is still missing, and which policy settings would help the region get ahead of the next compound rather than chase the last one. The panel closes with concrete asks for digital ministers and for regional frameworks across APEC and ASEAN.
