Leyla Bilge is the Global Head of Scam Research at Gen Digital, where she leads efforts to detect and prevent large-scale digital threats affecting consumers worldwide. A specialist in systems security, her work spans DNS-based malware detection, cyber risk analytics, botnet tracking, and machine learning-driven threat analysis. She previously held senior research roles at NortonLifeLock and Symantec, and holds a Ph.D. from EURECOM focused on network-based botnet detection.

With over a decade of experience in both academic and applied cybersecurity, Leyla is committed to building practical tools that address real-world risks. Her initiatives include the development of Exposure, a passive DNS analysis system, and more recently, an AI-powered “Digital Twin” to raise awareness among families about online scams.
