Simon is the Director of Fraud and Financial Crime at Fullbrook Strategies and Special Advisor to the Communications Crime Strategy Group, comprising the UK’s largest telecoms operators.

Until 2024, Simon was the UK Prime Minister’s Anti-Fraud Champion, leading the UK Government’s fraud strategy, hosting the first Global Fraud Summit, and launching the Stop! Think Fraud awareness campaign.

As the Member of Parliament for Barrow & Furness, Simon played a pivotal role on the Home Affairs Select Committee and led initiatives to strengthen cyber security and the UK’s international partnerships as Chair of the APPGs on Cyber Security and AUKUS. In 2023, he passed legislation to reform prison releases and prevent reoffending.

Prior to parliament, Simon worked for over a decade with some of the largest organisations in the UK, law enforcement bodies and the Government to prevent fraud and other financial crimes as Director of Strategy at Cifas, with a particular passion for supporting vulnerable people at risk of scams.

Simon is also a Non-Executive Director at both the RAMP Project, and Switchback.
