Adrian is a senior advisor to TRM labs, a leading block chain analytics company.

He was formerly Director of the National Economic Crime Centre (NECC) and the UK Financial Intelligence Unit (UKFIU). These are housed in the National Crime Agency, and Adrian was responsible for leading the UK’s operational response to fraud and wider economic crime. During his time at the NECC Adrian directed a world leading data sharing partnership with UK banks, initiated the NCA’s largest ever operation countering global money laundering, and worked with the technology sector to counter scam centre activity in South East Asia.

Prior to this, Adrian was the head of Security and Data risk for NatWest Bank, an advisor to the Board and critical friend to the CISO on cyber security. This followed a role as Head of Incident Management in the National Cyber Security Centre (NSCS), where Adrian led the cross UK response to nationally significant cyber incidents.

This in turn drew on the experience of many years in Defence and Security related operational and policy roles, and before that, time in the British Army and making TV documentaries.

Adrian is now working with a range of technology and professional services companies, advising on fraud, wider economic crime and cyber security.
