By registering for the Global Anti Scam Summit you accept the Terms & Conditions organized by the Global Anti Scam Alliance (GASA).
Purchasing Tickets. The full price of your ticket is due when you register for the Event. Unless otherwise stated in these Terms, all ticket purchases are non-refundable. GASA reserves the right to deny a prospective attendee’s attempt to purchase a ticket to an Event in GASA's discretion if the Event is at capacity, if GASA would violate a contractual obligation by selling the ticket to the prospective attendee, if the prospective attendee does not qualify for the Event, if the prospective attendee has previously exhibited inappropriate behavior at a GASA Event, or if GASA reasonably believes that the prospective attendee poses an undue risk to GASA or to the Event/other attendees.
Ticket Transfers. If you cannot attend the Event, you may transfer your ticket to apply to a future event (occurring within the next 12 months) or to a colleague, free of charge. Requests to transfer your ticket to a future event must be received by GASA in writing at least 30 days prior to the first day of the Event. Requests to transfer your ticket to a colleague should be submitted in writing to GASA at least 5 business days prior to the first day of the Event. All requests for ticket transfers should be submitted to partner@gasa.org. You will not be eligible for a refund if you cannot attend the Event and/or are unable to transfer your ticket.
Modification of Event Date, Time, Format, and/or Content. GASA will hold the Event as originally intended so long as doing so is reasonably practicable. GASA reserves the right to change the Event date, time, format (for example, from a live event to a virtual event), and/or content if circumstances beyond GASA's control arise. Such circumstances may include problems with the Event venue, a disease outbreak, a threat related to war or terrorism, political unrest, an act of nature, or any other “force majeure” event. If GASA changes the date, time, format, and/or content of the Event, your ticket for the Event will be valid for the Event as modified. You will not be entitled to a refund, and these Terms will remain in full force and effect in relation to the modified Event. GASA will notify you in writing as soon as practicable if any aspect of the Event will be modified.
Cancellation. In the rare case that an Event is canceled, rather than modified, GASA will provide you with a credit equal to the price of your ticket. You may apply this credit to your purchase of a ticket or sponsorship to another GASA Event scheduled during the 14-month period following the original date of the canceled Event.
Personal Information. GASA will collect certain personal information from you in connection with your registration for the Event. Such collected information will include among others your name, job title, and company name. You agree that GASA may share this personal information with the Event’s sponsors and other Event attendees using GASA’s networking tools. Further, you agree that GASA may use your company’s name and your job title in GASA’s event-related marketing materials. GASA will never sell your data or share it with list brokers.
Media Release. You acknowledge and agree that you may be filmed, photographed, or recorded during the Event, and that any such videos, images, or recordings may be broadcast, posted, uploaded, or otherwise used by GASA on its website and in marketing materials. You grant GASA an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your name, voice, biography, and likeness in any media and any videos, images, or recordings of the Event as GASA reasonably desires in connection with its marketing efforts.
Content. All rights to presentations, documents, and materials published or otherwise made available as part of the Event (“Content”) are either owned by GASA or are included in the Event with the permission of their owner(s). You will not republish, broadcast, reproduce, distribute, modify, store, transfer, or disseminate any Content without GASA's prior written approval, nor will you use Content in any way that might infringe upon a third party’s rights, or that may damage the reputation of GASA or any of its sponsors or affiliates. You acknowledge that Content does not necessarily reflect GASA's views or opinions. Information contained in Content should not be relied upon as advice or used in place of professional counsel. GASA does not provide investment advice, nor is GASA subject to federal or state regulations that apply to investment advisers. While GASA takes reasonable care to ensure that the Content is accurate and complete, Content is supplied by third parties and, as such, GASA does not guarantee its accuracy or completeness. Content is provided through the Event on an “as is” basis without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. GASA reserves all rights related to Content that are not expressly granted to you in this paragraph.
Right to Refuse Admission Clause
GASA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, deny, or revoke admission or access to any of its events, summits, or virtual sessions to any individual at any time and for any reason, or for no stated reason. GASA is under no obligation to provide an explanation for such refusal or revocation.
If admission is refused or revoked, GASA may, at its discretion, determine whether a refund of the registration fee is appropriate. However, under no circumstances will GASA be responsible for or refund any travel, accommodation, or other incidental or consequential costs incurred by the attendee.
Code of Conduct During the Event. You will honor and abide by any security and safety procedures and policies that are applicable to the Event and/or to the venue at which the Event is held. You must have your photo ID with you during the Event for ticket verification purposes. If the Event is an in-person conference, you must have your conference badge and bracelet on at all times during the Event. If you lose or break either or your badge, you will be charged a replacement fee of $150. If you lose your badge, you will be charged the full ticket price and will not be admitted to the Event. GASA may refuse to allow you to attend the Event, or may require you to leave, if at any time we have reason to believe that you: (i) violated these Terms, (ii) committed a criminal offense or otherwise violated applicable law; (iii) behaved in a disorderly manner or in a way that has an adverse effect on the safety of the public; (iv) consumed an excessive amount of alcohol, or were under the influence of legal or illegal recreational drugs; (v) behaved in an anti-social manner or in a way that causes a public nuisance including, but not limited to, verbally or physically fighting with another person; (vi) sexually harassed, engaged in inappropriate touching, or made unwelcome advances or otherwise socialized in an unprofessional manner with another attendee, sponsor, or any other person at the Event; or (vii) organized, facilitated, or participated in any commercial, promotional, or trading activities at or near the Event without GASA’s prior express written permission. You will not be entitled to a refund of your ticket price if you are refused entry into the Event or if you are asked to leave.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL YOU OR GASA BE LIABLE IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS FOR ANY SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF GOOD WILL OR PROFITS, EVEN IF INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. GASA’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT WILL NOT EXCEED THE PRICE PAID BY YOU TO GASA FOR YOUR TICKET TO THE EVENT. THE LIMITATION IN THIS SECTION WILL NOT APPLY TO (A) BODILY INJURY (INCLUDING DEATH), OR (B) GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT.
Miscellaneous. These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, regardless of the location of the Event. You agree that any dispute that arises out of or in connection with these Terms or the Event will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Any notice or similar communication under these Terms will be given in writing, which may include a writing submitted via email. If any Term is determined to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such Term may be severed or modified to be enforceable to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remainder of these Terms will remain valid and enforceable.
