Workshop: Crossing Borders and Payment Domains – The Future of Fraud Risk Information Sharing
Description

This in-person roundtable, held in partnership between the Global Anti-Scam Alliance and the Future of Financial Intelligence Sharing research programme, will launch the FFIS publication A Survey of Collaborative Analytics Platforms to Tackle Fraud.

Led with remarks from Giles Thomson, incoming FATF President, and Nick Maxwell, Head of the FFIS research programme, the session will examine how domestic fraud risk information-sharing models can inform stronger cross-border and cross-sector cooperation.

Drawing on FFIS research covering 37 anti-fraud public-private and private-to-private platforms worldwide, delegates will explore platform models, data-sharing practices, legal and regulatory frameworks, effectiveness measurement and barriers to collaboration.

The roundtable will also consider the role of FATF in building the policy framework for cooperation between fraud risk information-sharing platforms across borders and payment domains.
