AI is playing a growing role in scam detection and prevention — but how do we ensure it can be trusted? This workshop will bring together experts from academia, technology, and global institutions to explore the importance of AI safety and transparency in protecting consumers. The session will introduce a new research initiative on measuring trust in AI across APAC and invite participants to contribute insights. The roundtable format will allow for interactive discussion on how to build evidence, strengthen accountability, and maintain public confidence in AI-powered defences.
